IRON LANES
A Tiger I in a street of Le Mesnil-aux-Saules in the game, with the church on the hill behind
Public test version · Normandy 1944

Real armour.
Real ground.
No shortcuts.

Team battles with Second World War tanks, right in your browser. Every shot follows real ballistics, every house can be opened up with a shell, every vehicle is earned by playing.

Free, nothing to install. The first time, the game downloads about 24 MB.

Ballistics and armour

Impact angle, plate thickness, shell drop and the ammunition you pick all matter. A ricochet always has a reason.

Maps from real data

Villers-Bocage rebuilt from the French geographic institute's surveys. Houses open up shot after shot, walls collapse and rubble becomes cover.

No pay-to-win

Every vehicle can be earned by playing. We never sell power: if you want to pay, you pay for looks, never to win.

Large map · 7 vs 7

Villers-Bocage, June 1944

One kilometre on each side from IGN data: the town, the stream and its fords, the hedgerows of the bocage and the roads to Caen.

A street in Le Mesnil-aux-Saules in the game, with half-timbered houses
Small map · 6 vs 6

Le Mesnil-aux-Saules

A Norman village in autumn, 600 metres on each side, with its church on the hill. Light enough for older PCs too.

Large map

The valley

A kilometre and a half of river between two ridges: bridges that collapse, fords, a harbour at the mouth and the dam at the far end.

How to play

One match, twelve minutes

  1. 01

    Pick your vehicle

A heavy tank to hold the line, an armoured car to scout and flank.

  2. 02

    Teams always full

Seven against seven, six on small maps. Empty slots go to bots, always clearly marked.

  3. 03

    One life

If you are knocked out, your wreck stays until the end. Win by capturing the base or destroying the enemy.

  4. 04

    Your time respected

Twelve minutes at most on large maps and ten on small ones, then back to your life.

Maps

Walls that really break

Low walls and boundary walls leave jagged stumps and scattered stones when hit, different every time, on every map.

Vehicles

Jumps and landings

A vehicle launching off a steep slope really flies, and a landing that is too hard damages or destroys it.

What you need

A recent browser with WebGL 2 (Chrome, Edge or Firefox), a mouse and a keyboard. It also runs on PCs a few years old with graphics set to Low.
